COVID-19 Update

Thankyou… Firstly, a massive thankyou to our wonderful clients for their patience and understanding of the changes we have implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We did face an extra little challenge on Wednesday. The clinic was broken into and some damage was sustained. Thankfully, the fast response of Sandhurst Security and Carnarvon Police meant that the offenders weren’t able to cause too much trouble. Carnarvon Cabinet Makers was able to get us up and running within hours, which we are so grateful for. The offenders have been taken into custody for a number of offences. A good reminder to remain vigilant at home and work. The good news… Currently, vets in Western Australia have been given the go ahead to continue to provide emergency care for our patients. We are open, but our front door will be locked to enable us to best direct client and patient flow. This will help to reduce potential exposure to both our clients and our staff. Once your pet has reached around 8 years old they have reached their ‘golden years’. It is a time to be celebrated but also stage where we need to be a little more vigilant and keep a closer eye on them. As pets age they are at risk of suffering from a number of conditions- and they are not able to tell us. It is up to you as their owner and us as their health care giver to make sure they are not suffering in silence.  It is essenital that your pet has a wellness check every 6 months. Burringurrah Dog Health Program

Danielle has taken a team out to Burringurrah to conduct a desexing clinic as part of the Aboriginal Dog Health Program. The aim of the program is to reduce dog numbers through desexing as well as improve the health of the pets in the community. There has been a huge response to the program and a significant drop in unwanted dog numbers.
